HOW TO WASH YOUR CAR FOR JUST €1.50

With the AutoXClean system, you can wash your car at a self-service car wash for approximately €1.50 and then complete the detailing process using the products and accessories included in your kit.

Every AutoXClean product has its own number. All brushes, applicators and microfiber cloths intended for that product carry the same number.

One product may have several matching accessories.

For example, Product No. 5 is used with:

• Accessory No. 5 — Curved Tire Applicator;
• Accessory No. 5 — Soft Round Plastic Applicator;
• Accessory No. 5 — Plastic Buffing Microfiber.

Always use each accessory only for its assigned product and surface.

IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU START

Never apply cleaning products, foam, polymer protection or other chemicals to hot bodywork.

If the car has been standing in direct sunlight and the surface is hot, rinse it with clean water first. Wait until the bodywork has cooled before applying any product.

Do not allow cleaning products, foam or water to dry on hot paintwork. This may leave stubborn stains, mineral deposits or discolouration and may damage the clear coat.

Whenever possible, work:

• in the shade;
• in cooler weather;
• early in the morning;
• or in the evening.

STEP 1 — APPLY TIRE CLEANER

Spray Product No. 1 — Tire Cleaner evenly over the sidewalls of all four tires.

Cover the entire visible rubber surface and allow the cleaner to work while you apply the other products.

Matching accessory:

• Accessory No. 1 — Tire Brush.

STEP 2 — APPLY WHEEL CLEANER

Spray Product No. 2 — Wheel Cleaner over the wheel faces, between the spokes and into the inner sections where brake dust and road contamination collect.

Allow the product to loosen the dirt before brushing.

Matching accessories:

• Accessory No. 2 — Long Wheel Brush;
• Accessory No. 2 — Detailing Brush for wheel bolts, corners and narrow areas.

STEP 3 — TREAT INSECTS, BIRD DROPPINGS AND ORGANIC CONTAMINATION

Apply Product No. 3 — Insect & Bird Droppings Remover directly to:

• insect residue;
• bird droppings;
• organic contamination;
• the front bumper;
• mirrors;
• headlights;
• and other affected areas.

Allow the product to soften the contamination.

Never rub dried insects or bird droppings directly into the paintwork.

If any softened residue remains after rinsing, remove it gently using the matching soft accessory.

Matching accessory:

• Accessory No. 3 — Soft Microfiber or Soft Cleaning Pad for softened organic residue.

Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.

STEP 4 — TREAT TAR, ADHESIVE AND STUBBORN CONTAMINATION

Apply Product No. 4 — Tar, Adhesive & Stubborn Contamination Remover directly to:

• tar spots;
• adhesive residue;
• tape marks;
• sticker residue;
• tree resin;
• and other difficult contamination.

Apply the product only to the affected area and allow it to work.

If necessary, gently remove the softened contamination using the dedicated accessory.

Matching accessory:

• Accessory No. 4 — Dedicated Yellow Cleaning Pad.

Do not use Accessory No. 4 on the entire bodywork. Use it only on the treated contamination and without excessive pressure.

Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.

STEP 5 — APPLY FOAM FOR APPROXIMATELY €0.50

Activate the foam programme at the self-service car wash.

Cover the entire vehicle evenly, including:

• the roof;
• windows;
• bodywork;
• lower panels;
• bumpers;
• wheels;
• and wheel arches.

The foam loosens general road film while Products No. 1–4 continue working on specific contamination.

Allow the products a short time to work, but never let them dry on the vehicle.

Approximate cost: €0.50.

STEP 6 — CLEAN THE TIRES WITH ACCESSORY NO. 1

Clean the tires using Accessory No. 1 — the dedicated tire brush.

Product No. 1 — Tire Cleaner
Accessory No. 1 — Tire Brush

Scrub the sidewall of each tire to remove:

• brown contamination;
• road film;
• old tire dressing;
• and embedded dirt.

Use this brush only on tires. Never use it on wheels, glass or painted surfaces.

STEP 7 — CLEAN THE WHEELS WITH ACCESSORIES NO. 2

Clean the wheels using the matching No. 2 accessories.

Product No. 2 — Wheel Cleaner

Accessories No. 2:

• Long Wheel Brush;
• Detailing Brush.

Use the long brush between the spokes and inside the wheel barrel.

Use the smaller detailing brush around:

• wheel bolts;
• narrow corners;
• wheel faces;
• and other detailed areas.

Never use wheel brushes on the painted bodywork.

STEP 8 — RINSE THE CAR AND FINISH WITH OSMOSIS WATER

Use the high-pressure rinse programme to remove all foam, loosened dirt and chemical residue.

Rinse from top to bottom and pay particular attention to:

• tires and wheels;
• the front bumper;
• mirrors;
• lower body panels;
• wheel arches;
• and areas treated with Products No. 3 and No. 4.

After removing the foam and dirt, complete the final rinse using the Osmosis, Spot-Free Rinse or Demineralized Water programme.

Osmosis-treated water contains fewer dissolved minerals than ordinary water. This helps reduce white marks, mineral residue, streaks and water spots on the paintwork and glass.

Use the regular high-pressure rinse first. Use osmosis water for the final rinse.

Do not use the public car-wash brush on the bodywork. It may contain sand and hard particles left by previous vehicles, which can scratch the clear coat.

Approximate rinsing cost: €1.

Total wash cost:

€0.50 for foam
+
€1 for rinsing and the final osmosis rinse
=
€1.50

STEP 9 — MOVE THE CAR AWAY FROM THE WASH BAY

After rinsing, move the car away from the active wash bay.

Park in a safe place, preferably in the shade, and complete the remaining steps without occupying the washing area.

Make sure the bodywork is cool before continuing.

STEP 10 — DRY THE CAR

Dry the vehicle immediately using the large drying towel included in the kit.

Dry in this order:

1. roof;
2. windows;
3. upper body panels;
4. doors;
5. bumpers and lower sections.

Use light, controlled movements without excessive pressure.

Although osmosis water reduces the risk of water spots, the best result is achieved by drying the vehicle completely.

Matching accessory:

• Large AutoXClean Drying Towel.

STEP 11 — RESTORE THE EXTERIOR UNPAINTED PLASTIC

The plastic must be clean, dry and cool.

Product No. 5 — Tire & Trim Dressing is not a spray product.

Use the dispenser to pour a small amount onto Accessory No. 5 — the soft round plastic applicator.

Do not pour the product directly onto the vehicle.

Apply a thin, even layer to suitable matte, unpainted plastic parts, including:

• trim around the windows;
• mirror trim;
• bumper inserts;
• exterior grilles;
• lower plastic trim;
• and other faded plastic elements.

After treating all suitable exterior plastic, use Accessory No. 5 — the dedicated plastic microfiber — to buff the treated surfaces.

Buffing removes excess product, evens out the finish and prevents wet patches, dark spots and uneven areas.

Continue until the plastic has an even, clean and naturally dark appearance.

Matching accessories for plastic:

• Accessory No. 5 — Soft Round Plastic Applicator;
• Accessory No. 5 — Plastic Buffing Microfiber.

Do not use these accessories on the tires.

STEP 12 — DRESS THE TIRES

The tires must be clean and dry.

Use Product No. 5 — Tire & Trim Dressing with the separate curved tire applicator.

Use the dispenser to apply a small amount of product to the applicator.

Spread a thin, even layer around the sidewall of each tire.

Matching accessory for tires:

• Accessory No. 5 — Curved Tire Applicator.

Do not apply the product to:

• the tire tread;
• braking components;
• or surfaces that must remain non-slip.

The tire applicator must remain separate from the plastic applicator and plastic microfiber.

Product No. 5 therefore has three matching accessories:

• No. 5 Curved Tire Applicator;
• No. 5 Soft Round Plastic Applicator;
• No. 5 Plastic Buffing Microfiber.

STEP 13 — POLISH THE CHROME AND METAL DETAILS

The surface must be clean, dry and cool.

Apply a small amount of Product No. 6 — Chrome & Metal Polish to the matching polishing applicator.

Work one small section at a time using controlled circular or back-and-forth movements.

After polishing, remove the residue and buff the surface with the matching soft microfiber.

Matching accessories:

• Accessory No. 6 — Chrome Polishing Applicator;
• Accessory No. 6 — Chrome Buffing Microfiber.

Continue until the surface is clean, bright and evenly polished.

Test the product first on a small, inconspicuous area. Use it only on suitable chrome or metal surfaces.

STEP 14 — APPLY THE POLYMER PAINT PROTECTION

The bodywork must be completely clean, dry and cool.

Apply Product No. 7 — Polymer Paint Sealant using the matching applicator.

Work one body panel at a time:

1. Apply a thin layer to one panel.
2. Spread it evenly.
3. Immediately buff that panel with the matching microfiber.
4. Move to the next panel.
5. Repeat around the vehicle.

Do not apply the polymer to the entire car and leave it to dry.

Matching accessories:

• Accessory No. 7 — Polymer Applicator;
• Accessory No. 7 — Polymer Buffing Microfiber.

Never apply the polymer:

• to hot paintwork;
• under strong direct sunlight;
• or when it may dry too quickly.

If the car becomes hot, cool it with water and then wait until the surface is completely dry and cool before applying the polymer.

STEP 15 — CLEAN THE GLASS

The glass must be cool before application.

Apply Product No. 8 — Glass Cleaner to the matching waffle microfiber towel.

Spraying the towel first helps prevent the cleaner from reaching freshly treated paintwork and plastic.

Clean both the inside and outside of:

• the windscreen;
• side windows;
• the rear window;
• and other glass surfaces.

Clean the exterior mirrors where appropriate.

Continue until the glass is completely clean and free from dirt, fingerprints and streaks.

Matching accessory:

• Accessory No. 8 — Waffle Glass Microfiber.

Use this microfiber only with Product No. 8.

STEP 16 — APPLY THE GLASS WATER REPELLENT

The outside of the glass must be completely clean, dry and cool.

Apply Product No. 9 — Glass Water Repellent to the matching glass applicator.

Spread the product evenly over the exterior glass, working one manageable section at a time.

After application, buff the glass with the matching clean microfiber until it is completely clear and streak-free.

Matching accessories:

• Accessory No. 9 — Glass Water Repellent Applicator;
• Accessory No. 9 — Glass Buffing Microfiber.

Do not apply the water repellent to the inside of the windows unless specifically permitted by the product instructions.

Do not use the No. 8 waffle microfiber for this step. Product No. 9 has its own separate microfiber.

FINAL RESULT

The paid self-service washing programmes cost approximately €1.50:

€0.50 for foam
+
€1 for rinsing and the final osmosis rinse.

After leaving the wash bay, you complete the finishing process using the numbered AutoXClean products and their matching accessories.

The result is:

• clean tires;
• clean wheels and spokes;
• removed insect and bird-dropping residue;
• removed tar and adhesive contamination;
• restored exterior plastic;
• evenly dressed tires;
• polished chrome and metal;
• glossy, polymer-protected paintwork;
• clean, streak-free glass;
• and water-repellent exterior windows.

AutoXClean is not simply a collection of car-care products.

It is a complete numbered system.

Every product, brush, applicator and microfiber is clearly labelled, so you always know which product to use, which accessories belong to it and what to do at every stage.
